Today's saint...

St. Eulogius, Martyr (+ 859) var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-617828-1']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']); (function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js'; (document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0] || document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0]).appendChild(ga); })();

Catholic Referencer, FTW!

Today I spent a bit of time installing a new Plugin for my Blog.  The Catholic Reference Extension, created by the genious over at Catholicism Computes, is a plugin that allows the author of a blog to reference both the Holy Scriptures and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

I initially had some issues getting the extension to work, however I believe it to be some type of operator error. I installed a package that did not contain the texts for the scriptures/ccc and tried to installed them afterwords. That did not work, so when I uninstalled and then reinstalled with a complete package from the Catholicism Computes website it worked just dandy.

A basic example of how this little ditty goes, is to follow. Say, for instance, that I wanted to remind you of how much God truley loves you. I could cite scripture and tell you to look up John 3:16. Now, you would have to find your bible (it should be on your night stand!) find John Chapter 3 verse 16 and read.

But now, all you have to do is hover over the citation to John 3:16 that I gave you, and BAM! You’ve found God’s love.

It also works with the Catechism, as previously stated. Here’s reference to Apostolic Sucession, found in CCC 77.

In other news, I continue to fiddle around with this website on a daily basis. Now that I am no longer working (The Up & Up!) I have a lot of free time. Still have to get school stuff in order…which reminds me, I have a check to mail off and a Camcorder to order.

Later!

16For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in him, may not perish, but may have life everlasting.
